Brexit is the biggest thing to happen to the U.K since the American Revolutionary War. I was enjoying my nightly helping of Lazarus Naturals when I heard the news and I'll never forget the gratitude I felt for living in such an exciting time. Britain's independence from the EU has been in the works for a long time and I remember being completely unaware of what Brexit was and what it meant.
I was ignorant of politics until Brexit. I lived my life happily removed from what was happening with the government and how economics work. These types of things have never interested me in any way, but when I saw the controversy surrounding Brexit, I was filled with a curiosity that I knew I needed to satisfy. Lets face it, the U.K is a pretty boring place, so when we see controversy like this we can't help but get involved whether we know what we're talking about or not.
My Life Before Brexit
Before Brexit I worked two full-time jobs. During the day I cleaned out horse stables and did odd jobs around the barn. My nights were spent being a janitor for a busy mechanic. My days were full of action. The horses became my best friends over time, and my boss Howard the mechanic was a pretty friendly guy as well.
Howard owned the ranch with my horse friends and the repair shop that I cleaned at night. Howard is actually the first person who told me about Brexit. I had been working hard for the ranch and repair shop for years at that point. Howard and the horses were my best friends but neither of them liked to talk to me. I would listen to them socialize sometimes. I obviously couldn't understand what the horses were saying, but I kept hearing Howard mentioning something called "Brexit".
I asked Howard what Brexit was. He ignored me for a few days, but eventually I broke him down. He sat me down in the kitchen away from the horses and explained Brexit. I have a hard time understanding what Howard says sometimes. He was kicked by his prized stallion a few years back and it's been hard to understand him since. Not only were his words difficult to make out, they were hard to understand. I just couldn't wrap my head around Brexit.
Backing Boris Johnson
Boris Johnson is my favorite politician yet. He's charismatic and people can't help but love him. His charm makes him the perfect leader for our great country. Boris Johnson is a successful businessman and when he wants to do something, he does it. Boris was all about Brexit, and when he promised to make it happen, I didn't have to understand it to know that he could get it done.
If Boris Johnson was pro-Brexit, that's all I needed to know. Boris is my hero and I know that he'd never steer us in the wrong direction. I knew that whatever Brexit was, I could trust Boris Johnson to figure out the details and lead us to greatness. Usually politicians don't follow through on their promises. Even America's charismatic leader Donald Trump falls through on important tasks like building a wall around Mexico. Boris and Donald are both pretty amazing, but Boris got Brexit done, so he wins in my book!
When Did I Know I Was Pro-Brexit
I was interested in Brexit since I heard Howard talking to his Russian poker buddies. I didn't quite understand what it meant, but I knew it was a big deal. When I heard Boris Johnson talking about Brexit, I knew I was in! I also knew that I needed to figure out what Brexit is.
I pulled out my laptop and got to work. I used every search engine I could imagine to search Brexit. I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting any fake news so I utilized a multitude of media outlets to inform my research. After a while, I felt I was gaining a better understanding of this monumental change for the UK.
I read that Brexit would be good for the U.K and that Boris Johnson promised we'd like it. I also read that Donald Trump also thought it was a good idea. Donald and Boris are two of the best businessmen in the world, so I knew that they'd do what's best for the common person. These two are famous for helping under-dog janitors like me and building financial policies that are all about giving tax breaks to poor people and to rich people.
When Boris Johnson and Donald Trump each said that Brexit would be great, I knew that they would only do what's best for everyone, and that's when I became pro-brexit!
