Dangerous Fanatics

The Labour party was always proud of being Socialist. Although a Fabian Marxist, Tony Blair knew that he could not sell Socialism. By getting rid of clause four he made Labour palatable. By claiming to be Margaret Thatcher's heir he reassured a gullible public that things had really changed. His master stroke however was re-branding his party as Progressive. No longer scary Socialists, but warm friendly progressives concerned with all the things that are close to an Englishwoman and man's heart.

The early Fabian symbol was a wolf in sheep's clothing. Other Fabians had tried, but Blair took a chain saw to democracy and law. All of it progressive you understand. By the time anyone realised how much damage had been done the coalition was elected. Cameron claimed to be the heir to Blair. He and Clegg, although elected on different labels, were progressives in the socialist sense. The Uni-Party, born in 1951, confirmed the progressive agenda.

The problem with camouflaging spots is that they have a habit of reappearing. Socialism is not a political philosophy. It is a religion. Like all religions you believe or you do not. There is no middle way. Until relatively recently religions enforced control with sanctions ranging from expulsion to death. They cannot get away with that anymore, at least in the west. Not so Socialist parties. They happily indulge in electoral fraud (AKA Postal Voting) and are now cheerfully ramming through a bill to give the vote to sixteen year olds. The new electors cannot buy a range of products without an adult's permission. Labour has decreed that their use of Social Media must be curtailed, but with mad house logic they are old enough to take part in governing the country. All intended to buy votes for Labour.

Whether Nigel Farage was right to call a by-election before the Parliamentary Standards committee had passed judgment is debatable. The committee has certainly behaved like the Star Chamber and needs challenging. Doing so, perhaps twice? That aside the reaction of the other political parties is pure Fabian Blair. All decided to boycott democracy and not field candidates. Like a bunch of spoiled children they announced they were not going to play.

The rejection of democracy matters because it has had a toxic result. The battering to death of an elderly Ann Widdecombe is a direct result of the venom spewed out by those, terrified of Reform, but unwilling to democratically engage with it. Politicians in other parties seek to paint Reform and Nigel Farage as the devil incarnate. Ed Davey of the Liberal Democrats claims they are a greater threat than Putin or China. No arguments to counter Reform's agenda. Just the knee jerk reaction of those who have failed for 80 years.

Democracy is about ideas, debate and progress in the real sense. The Fabian Marxists have turned it into a toxic religion, a religion where there is only one way of thinking. This has led to division and a toxicity in public life that should not exist in a country like Britain. If, as it seems probable, Ann Widdecombe's violent murder is the result of the attitudes encouraged by Labour, Lib Dems, Tories and Greens they have blood on their hands. Not just Ann's blood, but that of our democracy too.
