Good News. The EU is Spiteful!

All except its acolytes knew (and accepted) that, but how spectacularly have the EU Imperialists lived up to expectations.

In a recent article (Liberal Fascism's Last Hurrah?) I wrote: "The EU has never been interested in a mutually beneficial deal. To deal with that I offer something I learned in negotiating with a variety of corrupt countries' representatives. Let them talk. In the end they will put their foot in their mouths or, better yet shoot their own feet."

It is of course pleasant to be proved right. I did not expect it so soon, nor that they would outdo their own extraordinarily spiteful record. States (putative or otherwise) that put the political ambition and dogma of its elite before the needs of its citizens are following the example of every tyrant in history.

Seeking to disguise their incompetence by mounting a propaganda offensive against the AstraZeneca/Oxford' vaccine was the low tactic of fanatics willing to use any weapon against the UK. They were wrong, knew they were wrong, and now, are scrambling to undo their deceit in the face evidence to the contrary and a dismal vaccination roll outs.

The shenanigans over Northern Ireland, Fisheries and financial services are exactly as expected by those of us who warned against a deal.

The purpose of those who run the EU is the creation of a unitary state ruled by an elite civil service. A federation is simply a stepping stone along that road. In pursuit of the Empire, collateral damage such as Euro damage, mass unemployment, depopulation, amongst others, are acceptable to them. The same contempt for ordinary citizens is vividly displayed by their obvious disregard for life during the pandemic. Failure in the UK (by some politicians and most of the Civil Service) to grasp this simple point has bedevilled UK policy. It ought now to be crystal clear.

The question of trade, however, still seems to fog many brains. The EU is a protectionist bloc. It pretends one thing and finds bureaucratic means to achieve its actual ends. Different colour ink, a new import entry point, a new certificate, a certificate with different wording. The list is endless and the possibilities of frustrating agreements is endless too. It really does not matter whether it's shellfish or share trading, there is never going to be a way of trading reasonably with an organisation whose ethos is diametrically opposed to our own.

When we joined the Common Market, Heath stabbed the Commonwealth in the back. They lost markets here, and had no alternative, but to seek new ones. They did. Successfully. Demonstrating that the rest of the world is not like the EU, our erstwhile friends are ready to forgive, forget and trade again. Just like them we must plough a new furrow. The EU's spite must surely have penetrated even the most stubborn of re-joiner skulls.

The EU's behaviour is very good news. It slams the door shut on any last wisps of wishful thinking. The benefit of Brexit is to be nimble. The vaccine has demonstrated that. The EU and its supporters are obsessed by size. But, history demonstrates that the winners are not the lumbering behemoths, but the agile lithe nations that can quickly take advantage of opportunities. The defeat of the Spanish Armada is a perfect illustration. A huge fleet overwhelmingly outnumbering the English. Ships that towered above ours, but it was the small and nimble that carried the day and dealt a fatal blow to Spanish ambition throughput the world. The first Elizabethan age set us on a global course. I believe that our membership of the EU will be seen as an aberration. An interruption in our destiny as a citizen of the whole world.

EU spite, properly harnessed, ensures a faster economic divergence. A faster divergence in all spheres will open the greatest opportunities for the future.
