There are two reasons why I have titled this article "Green and Dirty", the first being the fact that those who push through many so-called green objectives, instead of cutting pollution, by their allegedly green actions actually increase pollution.
All you have to do to see this in action is to have a look at areas where councils have introduced some form of ultra low emissions zone (ULEZ) or low traffic neighbourhoods (LTN's). The green extremists inform us they are there for our benefit and to make the air cleaner. However, if you speak to the majority who live or have to drive into these areas they have neither made life better or these areas less polluted - it is usually the case these insane schemes have done exactly the opposite to what the green Taliban claim.
The problem with LTN's is the fact many roads, frustratingly, are closed to traffic meaning the majority of vehicles, in order to get to their destinations, not only have to drive extra mileage they are then directed onto what were, in pre-LTN days, free flowing roads. Many roads due to LTN's are now clogged and slow moving due to having more traffic than they can cope with forced onto them. No one has to be a rocket scientist to be able to tell you that continuously slow moving and jammed up traffic is highly polluting. When you also add into the mix the drive to impose lunatic 20 MPH speed limits in towns and cities as well as many other places, and in such areas drivers can not get out of second gear, this means vehicles crawling around at a snails pace are far less efficient and again creating more pollution than they would be travelling at 30 MPH. In Wales, now under the control of its increasingly unpopular Assembly, the out of touch authorities there have gone berserk with these ludicrously slow speed limits, much to the frustration of the population who, to add insult to injury, are now being fined for speeding slowly. They are getting points on their driving licences for creeping up to the slightly faster crawl of 24 MPH! Those imposing this madness have obviously lost touch with reality.
Ed Milliband, who I now call 'our No-Energy Minister', is a prime example of all that is wrong with net-zero and green objectives. When Labour came to power in 2024 they promised to reduce household energy bills, however, thanks to our Wallace look alike Energy Minister bills have increased creating poverty and health problems for many, especially older people living on their measly state pensions who have a stark choice, eat or heat. And the reason for energy prices increasing? We can thank (or should that be curse) Millibad for closing down much of our North Sea gas and oil extraction. Thanks to him Britain is now more vulnerable than ever, we are increasingly relying on foreign energy, not all of it coming from trustworthy sources. He has, it seems, like Baldrick, a cunning plan. He lives in a fairytale land where all our energy comes from wind farms and solar panels, which is a very unreliable form of energy. He has even been proposing eco vandalism by proposing to blanket Dungeness, an area of special scientific interest, in solar panels which, no doubt, will be made by the Chinese. He has been heavily criticised for this as the area is a unique nature reserve.
Sadly, what really adds to our energy costs are the subsidies given to the companies that are supplying this insecure form of energy. Those who own and run wind farms actually make more money from not producing energy on the days when there is no wind, than from the days they are adding to the grid. Who in their right mind would devise a system like this? In the days when I was running our small family business if we were not producing we were not earning. This also brings us to the matter of businesses, I am certainly glad I no longer have the stress of running a company with this out of touch Government in charge, our ludicrously high-priced green energy is forcing many companies either out of business or out of the country, they can no longer compete with the none green countries such as India and China who can easily undercut their prices as they have plenty of cheap energy provided by coal. No green nonsense for them.
Recently Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform, pointed out that the closing down of our producers here, including our energy from the North Sea, has not made us any greener, in fact the opposite as much of our fuel and other products now have to be shipped from one side of the planet to the other in diesel engined ships, and as I have just pointed out, what is being sent here is produced by countries who do not care about being green or laying waste to the rainforest. As the leader of Reform said, we have just exported our pollution and created even more in doing so.
Then there is the push for battery powered cars and the reckless ruling for the banning the production of petrol and diesel vehicles from 2030. Other countries, unlike us here in the UK stuck with a failing Government, who made also this rash ruling have stepped back from the brink and set later dates for this impossible task, there is a good chance they may even abandon the ban on internal combustion vehicles as battery cars are proven impractical and unpopular for most.
These cars are not even environmentally friendly to produce them, many will tell you that their production creates more pollution to make than normal petrol and diesel vehicles as battery vehicles use more of the earths rare materials in their production. To get the rare earths and other materials needed means parts of the natural environment are being destroyed to obtain such items. Battery cars are far from clean, they are filthy and destructive things environmentally to produce, added to that much of the energy for them needed to recharge is being produced at the Drax power station which, you can't make this up, is burning wood chips. So, to power up these deceptively called green cars they are chopping down and burning forests.
Sadly, those who support, promote and enforce all this green catastrophe, are being not only proven wrong, but as deceitful liars too. Over the years they constantly warn that by a certain date the earth will have warmed so much we will be past the point of no return, and every time we reach that specified date, due to not reaching that critical point of no return, a new date and point of no return is created and so the lies go on in perpetuity. Then there was the classic 'Hockey Stick' whopper promoted by Michael Mann. All this proves that anything the greenies tell us cannot be trusted, their plans and aims are designed to do us harm rather than to help.
Now for the second reason of the title of this article, which is being written in the aftermath of the Gorton & Denton by-election, it has to be pointed out that the Green's play dirty. The Green Party during that infamous by-election got up to all sorts of dirty tricks. They fooled the gullible Muslim voters in the area that they were on their side with support for Gaza and, despite their loony leader being Jewish, turned against Israel which, for decades, has lived with the threat of attack from its surrounding Islamic neighbouring countries, most of whom want to eradicate Israel and are happy to see the sort of medieval barbarity which Hamas melted out on October 7th 2023. So much for Zack Polanski's loyalty. By the way his real name is David Paulden which few people know. Ironically, had those Muslim voters bothered to look at the Green Party manifesto they would, according to their religion, would oppose nearly all of what the Green Party would inflict upon us including promoting transvestites to children in schools.
For those gullible enough to be tempted to vote for David Paulden and his mad mob, they should know what a real threat to the nation he is, as pointed out by the ex head of MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove, who said: "I think his [Polanski's] view of geopolitics is verging on the absurd. This man is really dangerous."
No doubt, seeing how he can win elections by fighting dirty, and after the actions of many of those who voted Green Party in the by-election by illegally 'family voting', and got away with it, we will see more dirty and underhand tricks from the Green Party leader and his mob of lunatic greenies in future elections. Polanski obviously has no loyalty or shame and is green and dirty.
