Tower of Babel

We have the son of a toolmaker and an engineer. They seem intent on squeezing us between a Rock and a Hard place. Starmer senior was, reportedly, a successful business man who made useful tools for his clients. His son seems intent on doing the opposite. Every day this man of the extreme left displays his Socialist credentials. He is following the Corbyn plan with religious fervour. Punish class enemies (and those stupid enough not to vote Labour). Hit pensioners, farmers, small businesses. Hit anyone who dreams of making their life better. Tax private education for all under 18, but not for those at University being indoctrinated with the Marxist gospel. Override local planning authorities and dream up a reorganisation of Councils that will allow the cancelling of elections. Elections Starmer's Socialists would lose. Pursue a net zero policy that has destroyed industry and will make car ownership impracticable for the majority.

Brand your opponents far right and a danger to democracy while leading the most oppressive and dictatorial government since Cromwell. Put Socialism before both the wishes and the needs of the people. Reward Unions for their support without seeking anything in return. Throw tax £s at the NHS also without requiring either accountability or improvement.

Reportedly the EU has demanded unconditional surrender on fishing, free movement and ECJ jurisdiction. For a Socialist this is political manna from heaven. The EU is a Socialist construct with a long history of ignoring democracy. Starmer campaigned to overturn Brexit because democracy for Socialists Is anathema. Oddly he was helped by Lib Dems and Lib Dems masquerading as Conservatives, they too despise democracy, hate the idea of the people actually thinking they might know what's good for themselves.

Against this tyranny we have an engineer. Mrs Badenoch tells us she's an engineer as frequently as Starmer repeats he is the Son of Toolmaker. Does Mrs Badenoch have anything else? Does she know the words of the children's song?

The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round
'Round and 'round, 'round and 'round
The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round
All through the town

As an engineer she should understand that the bus goes all through the town because its wheels are going in the same direction. The wheels fell of the Tory party a long time ago. Well that's unfair, they are still there it's just that they go in contrary directions. The Tory party is not a broad church. It is a Tower of Babel that is destroying our country because its leaders are not honest enough to admit the problem. The engineer tells us that before fixing the problem one must first understand it. Then she explained that a pact with Reform was out of the question because some (The majority of MPs) would not accept it. The same pro EU Big State Lib Dem Tories that knifed Maggie Thatcher for daring to say No! No!! NO!!! to the EU are still calling the shots. They cooperated with Starmer to cripple Johnson. They ganged up on Truss with the Civil Service and Bank of England. Whatever the engineer thinks she might achieve they are sure to chuck a spanner in her works if they don't like it.

Recently I listened with astonishment to an ex Tory MP and Brexiteer. I say astonishment because sadly he was in denial. Apparently the Tory party won Brexit. The fact that most campaigned for remain, that Cameron misused taxpayer funds to fly in Obama and send a pro EU pamphlet to very home in the country seemingly never happened. Certainly, Boris and Gove led one part of the campaign. There is, however, no denying that UKIP was the Ogre that forced Cameron's hand. No denying that Farage and co swayed millions. The second denial was that those who voted Reform robbed the Tory party of victory. The statement is arithmetically absurd. Worryingly it demonstrates what is unfixable at the heart of the Tory party. The only thing that the inhabitants of the Babel Tower can agree on is that they have a divine right to rule and that they own the electorate. They talk of getting back those who left them as if those who refused to vote for more ruinous Tory years are Serfs to be caught and returned to the manor. We have what is essentially a Communist government because since they got rid of Maggie Thatcher the Tory party has refused to set an agenda. They have fudged and centred and compromised and lived in their big tent to the point that the electorate no longer know what they are good for.

I'm not an engineer, but I do know that a blueprint has to be 100% clear or it's worthless. I do know something about running factories and machine tools. If they are faulty you cut your losses, tear up the blueprint and design new. Only those well thought out, properly designed and answering a specific need are worth having.

Reportedly, Farage and Candy have met with Musk in Florida. To match the Tory donors and Labour's unions, Reform needs money. I hope Mr Musk is feeling generous. Many talk of the Uni Party meaning Tory- Labour. In reality it's the whole lot. Whatever is left of this country when Starmer finally allows us to vote will not be fixed by any of the present failures. The US is set on a new path. It is a path determined by an outsider. With courage we can do the same.
