The European Union and the international bureaucratic class is a deadweight around the UK suffocating inventiveness, economic growth and snuffing out prosperity. The author and academic Professor Kenneth Minogue spoke at this meeting on Excessive Governance and the Suffocation of Britain.

Kenneth Minogue
Professor Kenneth R. Minogue is Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the London School of Economics, and is currently Senior Research Fellow with the Social Affairs Unit in London. Professor Minogue has been a regular columnist for The Times and The Times Higher Education Supplement and reviews in both intellectual and academic journals. He is also the author of the Bruges Group paper, The Fate of Britain’s National Interest.

A frequent commentator for radio and television on European Community issues, he was Chairman of the Bruges Group 1991-1993; he remains a member of the Group’s Academic Advisory Council.

Kenneth’s talk is titled; From Government to Governance: How Elite Monomania is Suffocating Britain.
