Are Most People Mentally Ill?

crazy-5393483_1280 State Sponsered Phobias

Phobia - word-forming element meaning "excessive or irrational fear, horror, or aversion," from Latin -phobia and directly from Greek -phobia "panic fear of," from phobos "fear". In widespread popular use with native words from c. 1800. In psychology, "an abnormal or irrational fear."

According to the NHS: "Many people with a phobia don't need treatment and avoiding the object of their fear is enough to control the problem. However, it may not always be possible to avoid certain phobias, such as a fear of flying. In this instance, you may decide to get professional help and advice to find out about treatment options. Most phobias are treatable, but no single treatment is guaranteed to work for all phobias. In some cases, a combination of different treatments may be recommended".

Applying blanket labels to beliefs or responses is not sensible. For example, a fear of Spiders could be irrational. Confronted by a Black Widow or Australian funnel-web spider,  Arachnophobia would be perfectly rational.

Of course one can be 'Anti' something simply by not liking fat, or loud music, or not liking Socialism. Most people don't like something or other and are 'Anti' it. I'm anti-EU a position based on my knowledge of politics and having lived and worked in EU states Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. Anyone is entitled to disagree with me, but no one can accuse me of EUphobia because my fear of its anti democratic values is justifiable fact.

Labour in order, perhaps, to stem the increasing loss of its Muslim voter base to openly Islamic parities has decided to introduce a legal definition of Islamophobia. The commission charged with the task is headed by Dominic Grieve former Conservative MP and Attorney General.

Grieve said: "We know Islamophobia is as challenging to define as its existence is undoubted".

"We need to balance addressing the lived experience of those who are victims of it and the right of British Muslims to feel heard and protected as equal citizens of our country, with the unwavering requirement to maintain freedom of thought and expression under law for all".

"I am hopeful that this commission will come up with principles in defining Islamophobia which are compatible with those requirements and can thus help support positive change in our country."

Grieve demonstrated a fear of democracy following the Brexit Referendum. His Democracyphobia was so strong he that allied with other Phobics in an attempt to overthrow democracy. Of course that makes him an ideal candidate to do Labour's bidding.

In the meantime, those who are worried by the march of Islam, by terrorism and grooming gangs may soon find themselves not just silenced, but branded mentally ill too. In Communist countries disagreement could land one in a mental hospital, persistence in a Gulag. Starmer and his hard left cabal are determined to alter the face of Britain. I'm Anti-Starmer and his attempt to destroy democracy and freedom of speech. It suits the hard left to label opponents 'mentally ill', which is why the term is Islamophobia and not Anti Islam. The British are not very good at shouting at a wrong, not until the damage has been done, Time to change. Time to shout. Time to make a stand and defend Free-Speech.
